HOTEL BARCELÓ RENACIMIENTO | Floorspace: 5400 m2 | Location: Seville | Year: 2019
The hotel is an iconic property in La Cartuja created by the architect Javier Carvajal for Seville Expo '92, which in turn marked the five hundredth anniversary of the discovery of America. Our inspiration came from the powerful ideas behind the original concept of the project revolving around the discovery of America: three distinct cores that simulated the three ships used by Columbus, the curved line as a basic design element and the sculpture 'The Discovery' by José L. Sánchez in the lobby, which symbolises a globe with access to the New World.
