The restaurant Boccaccio 70, led by chef Ricardo Temiño, who earned his first Michelin Star in 2024 with La Fábrica, has quickly established itself as one of the most innovative gastronomic proposals in Burgos. Opened in November 2024, it fuses Italian cuisine with Castilian influences, standing out for its creativity and technical precision.
The restaurant’s design reflects the Italian essence with a modern approach, avoiding traditional clichés. Inspired by the terracotta and red tones of the streets of Rome and Bologna, and featuring lighting that evokes the Italian theatrical tradition, the space creates a warm and immersive atmosphere. The large central table, illuminated by a zenithal light, serves as the restaurant's focal point, while the surrounding environment enhances the experience.
The name Boccaccio 70 pays tribute to Giovanni Boccaccio, author of the Decameron, and to 1960s Italian cinema, particularly the film Boccaccio '70, which celebrated Italy’s cultural richness.
